In the Yogic culture, it is believed that every thought and action creates infinite ripples in the universe.
Imagine the last time you were really happy. What were you doing? Relive that moment for a minute or so.
How do you feel? Does the thought make you smile? How’s your posture? Has your breathing changed?
Do you agree that a single thought, whether intentional or otherwise, has the capability to change your mood?
The moment you understand that you have the capability to change your mood instantly just by thinking or using positive words you can be happy all the time.
Isn’t that what we’re all looking for anyway? Eternal happiness? A state of bliss?
The words we choose while communicating with ourselves or with others have the potential to create positivity, we use them wisely and with good intent.
Let’s take a look at the healing power of positive words.
…and 3 reasons why positive words are so important.
“Speaking well doesn’t matter much until you think good” – Always Think Positive
1. Positive words relieve mental burdens
Gentle words often turn even the hardest souls.
When we use words that are positive in nature we ease the mental burden and bring them on the way to self-analysis and light.
Positive words can be encouraging and can provide yourself and the people you are talking to with an opportunity to be happy in life.
2. Positive words have a healing effect
Words have incredible healing power in people’s lives if they’re used wisely. When you utter words of love, comfort and encouragement you create a positive impact on people’s lives.
Positive words, besides aiding in transforming your experience of disease, can also heal you as well as others.
Positive words strengthen our relationship.
We should approach our listeners with great caution and display wisdom in the words we exchange.
By allowing the conversation to center around truth, we demonstrate modesty and respect in our speech. These qualities make way for a relationship to flourish.
3. Positive words improve the world
By choosing the words that are constructive and positive in nature you make the world a better place one word at a time.
The words you use will make others beam with positivity which will create ripples of positivity.
Now that you know how impactful positive words are, how can you implement this in your life?
Rephrase these 5 sentences everyday.
There are some phrases that we use every day which we have picked up somewhere along the way.
We can paraphrase these sentences to create a positive statement.
- Replace “Why not”, with “Sounds good”
- Replace “No problem”, with “Definitely”
- Instead of “Can’t complain”, use “Everything’s going well”
- Replace “Don’t throw the ball inside” with “Please take the ball outside”
- Replace “Don’t”, with “I like it when”
When you’re positive it rubs off on other people.
You’re also happier when you’re positive and that’s what matters the most.
“Stay close to positive people, they have a solution for every problem”
Paraphrasing Albert Einstein
